Slumber Party Cupcake Supplies (1)
Supplies needed for your Slumber Party Cupcakes can be readily purchased at any grocery store.
- 1 cupcake
- White icing
- Chocolate icing or black icing
- 2 Airhead in the same color
- 2 jelly beans
- 1 mini Vanilla wafer cookie
- 1 red heart sprinkles (often comes in the sprinkles for Valentine’s)
- 1 Marshmallow
Slumber Party Cupcake Instructions
Step 1. Ice cupcake with icing liberally. Cut one marshmallow in half and use one half for the pillow, and use the other half as the body.
Step 2. Position 2 jelly beans at the bottom of the body below the marshmallow.
Step 3. Put a dab of icing under a mini Vanilla wafer and position it on the top marshmallow like a pillow.
Step 4. Use chocolate or black icing to draw in eyes.
Step 5. Use a heart sprinkle, put a small dab of icing and position on the mini wafer as a mouth.
Step 6. Use some icing and color it yellow, brown or any hair color you like. Pipe onto the wafer for hair.
Step 7. Line up two Airhead, Fruit roll-ups or any type of dried fruit snack candy. Microwave 15 seconds at a time to soften. Roll out smooth using rolling pin or if you are fortunate enough to have a pasta machine, use it! Otherwise, use a bit of muscle to smooth out.
Tip: I rolled out onto a silicon sheet otherwise the fruit roll-ups sticks to the rolling surface. You can also grease the surface with shortening or oil.
Step 8. Using a sharp knife or kitchen shears cut out a small blanket. Position on top of the rest of the cupcake. For variations, use cookie cutters to cut out shapes out of contrasting fruit roll-ups. Press down onto the main blanket and roll using rolling pin to combine.
Step 9. Serve with cold milk at your Slumber or Sleepover Party! Guaranteed a hit at your next Sleepover!
