This simple Silver Candle Holder was created using aluminum cookie trays! Great easy and affordable craft if you are on a budget and need to have a project for a large group of kids like a class party or Holiday party. |
Silver Candle Votive Craft Supplies:
- Disposable Aluminum Cookie Sheet
- Scissors
- Silver Duck Tape
- Gloves (garden or work)
- Thick foam pad
- Nail
Silver Candle Votive Craft Instructions:
- Put gloves on for safety reasons.
- With scissors cut off rounded edges of the cookie sheet so that you will end up with a nice size rectangle shape of aluminum.
- Place the aluminum over a piece of foam and use the nail to create holes and designs by poking through.
- Take the aluminum rectangle and fold sharp edges over on one side, lengthwise and fold both edges over width-wise using hands and fingers.
- Measure the rectangle into four lengthwise and fold over to make a box.
- Cut the aluminum from the bottom about 4″ and fold over to the inside. This part will make the bottom of your votive candle holder.
7. Fold both edges of the bottom in so that the sharp edges are no longer exposed and each bottom piece forms a “V”.
8. Fold the aluminum into a rectangle box on the top and close off the bottom. Use duck tape to close and secure bottom and sides.
9. Your candle holder is now finished! Insert votive and light the candle. Enjoy!
