Scented Dough Ornaments

These Scented Dough Ornaments have an old fashioned feel and look to them that have become so popular this season. This recipe makes a large batch and the dough is great for rolling out and using a cookie cutter to make shapes. The ornaments are sturdy, smell great and last for a long time. |
Scented Dough Ornaments
Scented Dough Ornaments Ingredients
- 1 cup salt
- 1/4 cup cinnamon ground
- 3 tbs nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups of warm water
- 2 tbs cloves ground
Scented Dough Ornaments Directions:
- Mix dry ingredients together.
- Mix warm water into dry mix. The dough will be the consistency of play dough.
- Roll out using rolling pin to about 1/8″ thick.
- Cut out various shapes using cookie cutters.
- Use a straw or something similar to make a hole in the ornament for hanging. The size of the hole will be reduced to about half the size once the ornament is baked.
- Place on tray with parchment paper.
- Bake in oven for about an hour in 200F temperature.
- Once the ornament has cooled down, you can decorate with paints, glitter, etc. and hang.

Step 2. Mixing the dry and wet ingredients together.

Step 7. Bake the ornaments in the oven at 200 F for an hour. Let cool.

Step 8. Decorate and finish off with a red ribbon.
