Puppy Dog Cupcakes Recipe: Schnauzer

Spread the top of the cupcake with colored gray icing. To make gray, just mix black into white icing until you get the desired color.
Cut a 1/4-inch off from one end of a marshmallow. Use the larger piece for the snout.
Cut a 1/4-inch off from another marshmallow. This time save the two smaller 1/4-inch marshmallows for the ears.
Place the marshmallow snout on the cupcake, as shown.
Cut a fruit chew into quarters. With a rolling pin flatten the fruit chew. Use sharp kitchen shears to cut the shape of a tongue. Press a knife into the center of the tongue, lengthwise, to create a crease.
Pipe small spikes at the bottom of the tongue and longer spikes for the snout using white icing.
Pipe gray outline for the ears.
Pipe gray spikes for the side of the muzzle as well as the top of the head.
Use a black jelly bean turned side-ways for the nose.
Pipe white icing for the eye. Cut one jelly bean in half and place on top of the two dabs of white icing where the eyes would be. Pipe white dots on each of the black jellybean halves for highlight in the dog’s eyes.
