Pink Mod Monkey Party Invitations

What a fun idea to have the Guest of Honor pose in a monkey costume to match the party invitation! • Pink or Green Mod Monkey Stickers. Seal off envelopes with pink, blue or green mod monkey stickers. It gives the invitations a custom feel and what about adding matching stamps as well!
• Pink, Blue or Green Mod Monkey Stamps. Add Pink Mod Monkey Stamps for a girl’s birthday or a baby shower for girl – blue for a boy.  For an unisex color use the green one instead.  These stamps are customizable so add your own custom text, font and font size to fit your party occasion!

Pink Mod Monkey Party Decorations

Monkey Party Room Decor. Decorate your party room with adorable Pink Mod Monkey party decorations.  Put up pictures of mod monkeys all over the party room, on the walls, party table, etc.  Blow up palm trees and inflatable monkeys make wonderful party decorations.  The reason I suggest inflatable monkey is that they double as party decor but can be given away as party favor as well at the end of the party!

How about dressing the monkeys with pink and green (luau) skirts to tie in with the color scheme of the party?  Simply get large rectangular pieces of tissue paper and fold in half.  Cut slits all along the length and wrap around the monkeys.  Secure with tape.  The monkeys are now dressed and ready for the party!  Add an optional bow to the head.  For a more “dressy” look make regular skirts instead of grass skirts for the monkeys and layer some tulle on top for a dressy look.
• Pink, Green, and touch of White. • Balloons. Balloons are always an easy option where you can get a lot of bang for your buck.   Get them in hot pink, lime green and white color.  Attach a few to the Guest of Honor’s chair, let them hang freely all over the party room, and attach a few to the mailbox outside to let guests know where the party is.
• Colored Streamers. Decorate the party room with colored streamers and gather them all towards a focal point to the center of the party room.   If you have a light or chandelier in the center of the room, make this the central focal point of your streamers.  Otherwise add an object like a monkey pinata to tie in with the party theme.

Guest Arrival and Introduction

Birthday Banner. Place a welcome bannerat the front entrance to welcome guests to your party.  A themed banner to match your party theme would be perfect, however, consider having a generic one made so that you could use it every year.  For example, “Happy Birthday Emily” and leave out the age of the child completely.  It could be a start of a birthday tradition just like using the same birthday plate to serve birthday cake to the birthday child.

• Wall Hangings. Wall canvas decorations with personalized names and letters are versatile decorations that can be used as party decor and make great room decorations as well.  This could be a perfect gift from grandparents or parents for a birthday, baby showers or baby’s christening and make perfect keepsakes.
• Large Sign In Board. Get a large poster board and decorate the edge with trim, pink and green dots, monkey pictures, embellishments, gold wooden trim, etc.  Leave the inside blank for guests to sign their well wishes for the Guest of Honor.  Place on an easel at the front door with a pen or gold marker so guests can sign their well wishes as they enter.

Pink Mod Monkey Party Crafts

Monkey Habitat. Make a monkey habitat or diorama out of recycled materials using paper towel rolls, old newspapers, craft paper, glue and paints.  Make palm trees out of paper towel rolls, add in leaves by cutting shaped leaves out of craft paper.  Glue floral wire to the back of the leaves for support and stick them to the top of the palm base.  Use pictures of old magazines to decorate the inside of the diorama.  Add in a small stuffed monkey.  Photo credit for palm tree here.

Pink Mod Monkey Party Recipes

Pink Mod Monkey Cookies. A fun way to tie in the theme is to have the party food coordinate with the theme as well.  Not needed but fun to have!  Have your local baker make up a batch of adorable pink mod monkey cookies.  If you are adventurous, you can try to make them yourself.  Use the template from the mod monkey cake page but print out in a reduced size version on your printer.  Make cookies using the same directions as for the cake but use cookie batter instead.  Decorate the same way and add a small pink flower on the left side of the face.

• Banana Bread. Serve this delicious super moist banana bread for the lil’ monkeys.
• Yummy Pizza. Pizza is always an easy party food for kids to grab and eat.  Cut into small squares and serve warm.

Pink Mod Monkey Cupcakes and Birthday Cake.An easy way to incorporate the Pink Mod Monkey theme without much work is to use cupcake toppers to decorate the cupcakes and/or cake. This one is offered by Cutie Pie Decor on eBay.Directions: Make cupcakes with pink and green icing on top. Top with the cupcake toppers. For the birthday cake, make a two tiered cake with white icing. Cut out pink and green circles out of fondant and stick them all over the cake using icing. Use one topper in the center of the top tier. Get some curling ribbon in green and pink and tie to the top of the stick right below the monkey picture.
