Ladybug Wand Craft
![]() |
Kids love making this Ladybug Wand and seeing the various colored ribbons move about as they wave their wand around. This versatile Ladybug Wand serves multiple purposes, first as a craft activity, then use it as part of a Ladybug Hop game, and when the party is over, have them take it home as part of the favor. Don’t forget to take lots of party pictures with it as it can also double as a prop! Love that! Lady Bug Party Supplies |

Ladybug (1)
- 1 Pink card stock
- 1 Black Pipe Cleaners
- 2 Wilton Jumbo Hearts Sprinkles
Note: All supplies available at craft stores like Michaels, AC Moore, Joann Fabrics, etc.
Note: This craft can be made by guests as a craft activity for a Ladybug Party, just make sure all materials are ready to use before hand (e.g paper ladybug, foam circles for flower, glue and glue trays, ribbons cut out, etc. ).

Ladybug Party Craft Directions

Step 1. Gather the materials needed. The pink ladybug was created using a round cookie cutter and cutting the shape out of pink card stock. Cut the circle in half and draw in the dots. Divide black pipe cleaners into two and use one half for the antennae. Stick on 2 heart Wilton Jumbo Hearts Sprinkles on the ends. More details here.

Step 2. Take one foam flower and cut out a circle by using a cookie cutter or a compass. Cut out. Find another foam flower in contrasting color. If you will be doing this project with a large group, perhaps have the foam circles for the center already cut out before hand.

Step 3. Tie various colored ribbons to the dowel. It helps if you have the various ribbons already cut out and to grab them all together and tie them in one bunch at the same time. Then glue on the foam flower to the end of the dowel using tacky glue or hot glue (supervision required).

Step 4. Glue the ladybug to the center of the flower with more tacky glue. Let dry.![]()

Step 5. The ladybug wand is now ready as a take home favor. If you will be using it later for the Ladybug Hop Game, be sure to use a hot glue gun instead to secure the flower to the dowel.
