Ladybug Napkin Ring
![]() |
These ladybug party napkin rings were made to go with the ladybug place mats for the Ladybug Birthday Party theme page. The napkin rings were pretty simple to make and made out of felt, paper, pipe cleaners and few strips of fabric. A fun, whimsical pair of antennae were glued to plastic forks with heart details and then inserted into the ladybug napkin rings together with plain white napkins. Lady Bug Party Supplies |

Ladybug Party Decor: Napkin Ring Directions (1)

Step 1. Cut out the lime green fabric, hot pink fabric and black felt fabric to size. They all have to be approximately 2″ wide and 8″ long. Cut the black ribbon the same length as well. The ribbon used for our napkin ring was a black ribbon with white accent stitching.

Step 2. Layer the pieces together as shown in the picture. Layer the top edge so that some green fabric is showing on one side of the black felt, and layer the hot pink fabric so that it is showing at the bottom edge of the ladybug napkin ring. Place the black ribbon with the white stitching on top of the felt in the center. Hot glue all the pieces in place. Note: In the picture we left the fabric longer than 8″ black felt to show how the layering was done for our project.

Step 3. Cut out a small circle out of hot pink card stock. In our case, we used an old cookie cutter to trace the circle and used left over card stock from a previous project. We then cut the pink circle in half and added dots with a permanent marker.

Step 4. Take a black pipe cleaner and cut in half. Take the half piece and fold in half again. Glue the pipe cleaner to a white fork at the folding point with hot glue. Let cool. Then using a glue dot or hot glue, glue a pearl bead to the fork at the folding point. Glue 2 pink Wilton Jumbo Hearts Sprinkles to the ends of the antenna for the lady bug.
