Indian Mango Lassi Drink
Mango Lassi is a popular Indian drink made with mango and yogurt as the main ingredients.  This drink is healthy and nutritious with great intense mango flavor.  Serve this drink cold with a typical Indian meal during an Indian theme party and it will help cool down the the spicy Indian foods.  Enjoy!


Supplies needed

Indian Party Drink : Mango Lassi Supplies

  • 32 oz. (4 cups) of plain yogurt (either fat free or low fat)
  • 16 oz. of water (2 cups)
  • 32 oz (4 cups) of mango pulp from the can
  • 2 tablespoon of sugar
  • crushed ice

Step 1. Fill a blender with the yogurt and mango ingredients.  Add in the sugar and the water.

Note: The mango pulp is available in Indian grocery stores.  If you live close to a city, you may be able to find some in your local area or find mango pulp online.

Step 2. Blend all the ingredients on low in the blender until all the ingredients are well-mixed.

Step 3. Pour into a tall glass and fill with a scoop of crushed ice.   This is a great drink for Indian Theme parties to serve with meals however my kids do enjoy a mango lassi at any meal, even for a snack.  The mango provides lots of Vitamin C and the yogurt has lots of Calcium and protein which makes the lassi similar to a smoothie or protein drink.
