Halloween Table Dinner Setting: An Elegant Affair
![]() |
If you want to celebrate Halloween but don’t want to throw a big bash, an intimate elegant Halloween dinner party would be perfect with just a few close friends. You can concentrate on decorating the table instead and making that the focal point of the room. Dinner can be something simple and easy, but for dessert add in a few Halloween desserts. Halloween Party Table Decor Ideas
To create an elegant Halloween table setting, find items that are more simplistic with clean, elegant lines.
- Silver accent pieces like skull place card holders, silver chargers, and silver candelabras adds touches of elegance to the table setting.
- White plates to balance out the strong orange and black colors.
- Use rich fabrics and textures in the traditional orange and black Halloween colors.
- Use unconventional items, like a black fur throw, chenille zebra fabric and an orange damask textured table cloth.
- Use fresh roses as a centerpiece in a flower arrangement or simply in a nice matching theme vase.
- Set out elegant glass or crystal wine and liquor glasses at the table.
- Use chocolate wrapped in silver, gold, or copper foil to add to that luxurious look.
Create Your Own Halloween Party Style
If you don’t have Halloween themed items that match or go well together, why not create your own. Here is how I converted simple plain white candles into Halloween-themed ones and plain orange napkins into unique napkins with a contrasting band.
Party Decor Idea 1: Create Your Own Unique Candles
Create your own unique candles by adding a ribbon, printed colored tape or stamp onto a plain white candle and you instantly can have themed candle that are uniquely yours.
Supplies needed:
- White long candles
- Ribbon, tape or cutouts from craft store
Instructions:
Cut out approximate length. Peel off tape and wrap around. Layer other colors, tape and ribbon for a layered effect.

Party Decor Idea 2: Create Your Own Unique Napkins
Supplies needed:
- Orange beverage napkins
- Ribbon, tape or cutouts from craft store
Instructions:
This is the simplest you can get. Measure tape the length of your napkin. Cut and stick on. Voila!

Add a few fun Halloween dessert items to your party table to serve as edible props. These are my favorite types of Halloween decorations! No need to put away in a box and store in the attic once Halloween is over!
