Scary Halloween Party Foods
A must for any Halloween party is to have a spread of scary, gross foods to tantalize your guests’ taste buds and to give them a bit of a thrill. Here are a collection of 20 great Halloween recipes we collected from all over the web. Just dim the lights low, add some scary music and enjoy!

1. Deli Meat Head. Get a skull from the craft store. Wrap it with foil. Make sure it is completely wrapped and that the foil lays flat against the head. Add several layers if you have to. Smear with cream cheese all over. Layer with strips of your favorite ham or deli meat. Fill eye sockets with olives. Chill in fridge until ready to serve. flickr |

2. Peanut Butter Rice Crispies Eye Balls. Delicious mini peanut butter rice crispies balls dipped in white chocolate. Let the chocolate harden and place a black or brown M&M chocolate candy in the middle for the pupil. Use red food coloring to add in veins. source |

3. Finger Platter. Make Finger Cookies using your own sugar cookie recipe or use pre-made refrigerator dough. Add almond slivers as nails. Pile high on a tray. Place a small votive candle in the middle for a glowing, eerie effect. flickr |

7. Carrot Fingers. Create fingers and knuckles out of mini carrot sticks using a sharp utility knife. Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes on 325 F degrees. Drizzle some strawberry jam and bake another 10 minutes. The red jam makes a red sweet glaze and also looks a bit like blood. flickr |

8. Blood Finger Nail Cookies. Another finger cookie creation. This time use food coloring to dye the finger nails red to look like blood. Add red piping gel to the fingers to make it look like dripping blood. Let the icing dry. flickr |

9. Monster Cake. This awesome cake was created using lots of cake batter, icing and ganache. Firmer cakes like brownie or pound cake are perfect for making 3-dimensional cakes. Add dowels for the neck as support and initially create the head using a round cake mold. Create cavities for the eyes, nose and mouth by sculpting the cake using a sharp pairing knife or grapefruit knife. Ice with chocolate icing liberally and randomly. 10. Dirty Ear Wax Swabs. Eeeeew!!! Another awesome idea for a disgusting Halloween treat. Stick mini marshmallows on a lollipop stick. Dip the ends into melted butterscotch chips to create the illusion of ear wax. Let dry and fill a mock giant Qtip box with multiple used Qtips for guests to enjoy! flickr |

11. Kitty Litter Cake. Another favorite and popular Halloween recipe. Ingredients needed: Chocolate cake, white cake, 1 box vanilla sandwich cookies, 2 packages vanilla pudding, 12 tootsie rolls. Directions: Bake cakes according to directions. Make pudding and chill. Crumble cakes together, mix in half of the pudding with it. Crumble cookies in food processor. Add half of the cookie crumble to the cake mix. Put the cake mixture in the pan. Spread rest of cookie crumbles on top. Microwave tootsie rolls on lowest setting until soft. 12. Stuffed Roaches. Fill dates with cream cheese and ground nuts filling to make them look like stuffed cockroaches. Imagine biting into one of these suckers and having the white cheese ooooozing out! Eeek for sure! 13. Dip for Brainiacs. What goes best with tortilla chips? Delicious brain dip of course! Ingredients: 2 (8 oz) cream cheese, 1/4 cup oil, 1/4 cup lime juice, 1 tbs ground red chile pepper, 1 tbs ground cumin, 1/2 tsp salt. 14. Dementor Eye Balls. Fill Lychee fruit with strawberry jam. Top with a blueberry in the middle. The syrup from the lychee will slowly make the jam ooze out and color it red. Tip: Lychee fruit comes in a can and can be purchased in Asian or Specialty grocery stores. Also available fresh in metropolitan cities in Chinatown during select seasons. flickr |

15. Deviled Bloodshot Eyes. The usual deviled eggs but with filling dyed with blue dye (since the yolk is already yellow thus making the egg filling turn green), and use red food coloring ,thinned out, for the veins. flickr |

With darker color create web by creating concentric circles and then using a toothpick to pull out from the center to the outer rings. Create spiders by gently microwaving in a microwave and taking out to roll, flatten or create examples. |

19. Black Death and The Plague. The Black Death was one of the deadliest pandemics in Europe caused by black rats in the Medieval Times. To make these deadly rats, bake brownie batter into small mini loaf pans. Once they are baked and cooled, use knife to shape into rats or mice. Use white icing as eyes, black licorice as tails, red icing as nose, brown chocolate sprinkles as whiskers. Place on a platter and add in chocolate raisinettes as droppings.
