||Planning a LEGO Birthday Party and need quick, easy themed cupcakes? These simple LEGO birthday cupcakes are easy and requires no effort! The whimsical, semi-tart LEGO candy are already a favorite among kids so just top a few candy blocks on your cupcake, and you are ready to go!|
LEGO Birthday Party Cupcakes : Ingredients
- LEGO candy blocks (comes in assorted colors)
- 1 dozen cupcakes
- Plain icing
- Food dye in favorite color
LEGO Birthday Party Cupcakes: Directions
When completely cool, ice with store bought icing or make your own.
Optional: Use a toothpick to add color food dye gel to the icing to create your favorite icing color.
Step 2. LEGO candy blocks are available from wacky merchant and gag gift shops like Stupid.com or from Amazon. In addition to decorating cakes, cupcakes and as a food item, you can also use them for entertainment purposes. Construct the perfect bridge, wall, fort, home, then eat it! These ridiculous Candy LEGOs look pretty close to their plastic counterparts but taste so much better. You don’t have to be a kid to love toys again because you can just eat these suckers if anyone catches you playing on the kitchen table. The handful of LEGOs that come in each bag are super fun to play with because they construct and attach just like the real thing.
One bag is 2 oz. bag, 56 grams and contains approximately 25-30 pieces per bag.
Step 3. Pipe icing on cupcake using a piping bag with a tip.
Use a medium sized tip for the icing and pipe starting from about 1/2 inch from the edge of the LEGO cupcake. Pipe around the edge and make your way around several times and working in towards the center of the LEGO cupcake. Top off by lifting the tip up with a quick flick.
Wait several minutes till the icing has started to firm up and then top with 2-3 LEGO candy blocks in contrasting complimentary colors.
Place any remaining LEGO candy blocks all over the party table for kids to build and play with while they sit at the table.
This would be one of the few times kids are instructed to “PLAY WITH THEIR FOOD”! Bound to create some giggles and to be a hit!
Serve and Enjoy!
