Homemade Natural Organinc Dog Bone Cookies

Make these adorable dog bone cookies for your dog, as gifts to animal lovers or for a dog party for guest dogs. This cookie pays tribute to a dog’s favorite sticky treat by combining peanut butter with other nutritious and yummy ingredients. Important: it’s vital to use natural peanut butter without salt, sugar or added oil. Regular peanut butter contains too much pesticides, sugars, and extra fat which can be very bad for your dog.

Peanut Butter Dog Bone Cookies For Dogs Ingredients

1/8 cup honey
1/4 cup natural peanut butter (no salt, sugar or oil added)
1/4 cup unsweetened organic applesauce
1/2 cup natural apple juice (no sugar added or low sugar)
1/2 tablespoon canola oil
3/4 cup organic rolled oats
1 cup organic flour

Oven: 300 degrees F.

Peanut Butter Dog Bone Cookies Directions

Step 1. Preheat oven to 300 F degrees. In a large bowl, mix in honey with flour.

Dog Cookies - Add peanut butter to the mixture

Step 2. Add in the 1/4 cup of peanut butter. Stir.

Dog Cookies - Add applesauce and mix well

Step 3. Measure out 1/4 cup of applesauce and mix in as well. Add in the remaining ingredients – 1/2 cup apple juice and 1/2 tablespoon of canola oil (or any oil).

Place mixture in pan and cook over medium heat until it begins to simmer and thicken.

Remove from pan and add in 3/4 cup oats and 1 cup flour.

Step 4. Stir in flour until it forms a stiff dough. Divide dough in half and place on floured surface.

Step 5. Roll out until 1/4 inch thickness and use a dog bone cookie cutter to cut out the cookies.

Step 6. Place dog bone cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet or a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in preheated 300F oven for 20 minutes or until light golden brown on both sides.

When all the cookie batches are done, turn off the oven and place all cookies in the oven for 1 hour as oven cools.

Step 7. Tie with a festive bow for your favorite dog pet or let cool completely and place in an airtight container.

They are not too sweet and are full of healthy ingredients (Yes, we tasted them too since they were made out of human safe ingredients) .
