Bath Bomb Spa Party Supplies (1)
- 1/4 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- Colored sugar sprinkles
(Used this as a natural option instead of a coloring agent)
- Scented essential oil
(pick a scent you like)
- Witch Hazel
- Flower Petals, any color
- Round or Shaped large plastic mold
(Optional). If you don’t have a mold, use plastic egg cartons instead like I did.

Bath Bomb Spa Party Directions (1)

Step 1. Supplies needed – citric acid, baking soda, witch hazel, essential oil, colored sugar sprinkles. I also used an old plastic egg carton to measure the bath bomb so I would have a nice dome shape to start off with.

Step 2. Measure citric acid and baking soda in a bowl. Mix well until you see a fine mix. If you don’t mix well the bath bomb will be grainy. Add in colored sugar sprinkles to create a dotted effect and will color the bath bomb slightly when the witch hazel will be added in later steps. I used colored sugar sprinkles instead of a coloring agent to avoid any addition of extra chemicals or additives. You may also add a different natural coloring agent instead if you prefer.

Step 3. Add in drops of essential oil. Use your discretion. I added about 6-8 small drops of Lemon Essential Oil .

Step 4. The next step is the important step. Fill a spray bottle with some witch hazel. With one hand spritz the mixture and with the other hand mix the mixture well.

Step 6. Mix and squeeze the mixture until it becomes firmer and sticks together. When the mixture sticks together when squished, start putting the bombs into the mold. Avoid over-spraying too much witch hazel as it will make the bath fizzies “grow” as you are waiting for them to harden.

Step 7. Take out of mold and let them harden on a tray covered with plastic wrap. This will take several hours.

Step 8. Add finishing touches to your bath bomb fizzies by placing several natural elements on top like fresh flower petals, leaves, or small cinnamon stick to compliment the scent of your bath bomb. Once they are dry and hard, package in pretty cellophane bags and close off with a pretty bow. A great take home activity for a Spa Party or party favor.
