Asparagus with Bacon Appetizers
Grilled Asparagus appetizers can be served as Spanish tapas for a Spanish theme party, or any theme party like a Super Bowl Football party or Wine Tasting Party.  This dish only require a few ingredients, is simple to make and best of all, it can be made ahead of time.  Just pop into the oven for 6 minutes while guests are arriving or right before you are ready to eat.

Grilled Asparagus with Bacon Ingredients

  • 12 Asparagus spears
  • 6 slices of bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper

Temperature

  • Oven: 375 degrees F.

Grilled Asparagus with Bacon Directions

Step 1. Preheat the grill to 375 F.  Cut each bacon in half and wrap one half around each of the asparagus spears.

Step 2. Brush the bacon and asparagus lightly with oil and season to taste with salt and pepper.blank line divider

Step 3. Place on the grill rack and bake for 10 minutes.  Turn oven to lo broil and grill for about 4 minutes until brown.  Serve immediately.

Tip: When you purchase asparagus and bring them home, stand them upright in about 1/2 inch of water in a tall container.  Store in the fridge upright in the container.

Tip: Before preparing your dish, make a fresh cut about 1/4 inch from the bottom.
